Mutterings of Mad, Manic Man

Wed Oct 18, 2006, 2:51 AM
Life in the big smoke is like normal; depressingly routine with a smattering of high life, the sort you can't find on the back of a jar label. What on gods stained brown earth does he mean I hear you cry? Well, You See.... If one was to take the current economic climate and put it on a staple diet of eggs, bake beans and artichokes (non nuclear of course), one might find that the weight of the average male ardevark in a central American sweat shop would decrease to such a degree that earth worms in India would find themselves fighting hand to hand combat in their nests! I know, scary isn't it!

Last year the projected GDP of Kazackistan was rivalled in colour by the Brazilian Mardigra!!! Fan Farking Amazing I Say!

Everything is very samey here at the moment, feel like we need a decent bombing or chemical scare to put a little electricity in the atmosphere. You should see the faces of the lonesome lost masses in the morning when they take their 2 hour commute to work; you'd think they were on their way to Bergen-Belsen or Dachau or a Siberian Salt Mine. The sort that can only be reached with the muzzle of a double barrel pressed against the back of the skull.

However, come the weekend and it's a different story. Alcohol floods the streets and waves of chunky vomit strewn spittle plummets from the heavens. An atmosphere of party like there's no tommorow decends over the city. Neon lights cast a glow of happy, cheerful attraction onto centuries old facades as if somehow washing away the sins of the new-dumb with every flicker of the neon bulb. People stumble around holding their kebabs protectively whilst cans of Stella Artois are cerimoniously drained and thrown onto the road only to be picked up by a drunken beggar for their scrap value. All this to help elliviate the pain of everyday life in the misjudged hope that, somehow, next week will be better.

I ask you, my Australasian friend, in what sort of a farked up society do we live? Crack whores on every street corner, muggers lurky behind empty dustbins peering out for their next likely target, parentless children smoking H to escape the pain of another day on an empty stomach. And all this while the 'elite' clever-dumb find socially accepted ways to spend the few pittance they have gained to give them a temporary sanctity away from the pain and suffering.

May the lord deliver us from our sins in the hope that his soul may be saved. Amen.

May the roads rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shin warm upon your face,
And rains fall soft upon your fields and,
until we meet again May
God hold you in the palm of his hand.
